So, again, if you’re looking for a company who values their customers and will honor what is written, then contact Mr. Bowles at Clinton Fence. George and his team will do you right!! Something I’d wished I’d done a long time ago.
Would highly recommend based on my experience from start to finish. I'm a very picky person and really put all my trust in Massey. They came through with a perfect product installed, they pay close attention to details and cleaned up nicely when completed. If you want a complete quality installation than this is the contractor to hire.
Recently hired Massey Fence for a large fenced dog enclosure. Mr Massey gave me his word he'd met our tight deadline and finished well inside our window of time. Fast friendly installers, competitive pricing, and right on time. Couldn't have asked for a better scenario. Highly recommend!
*****Extremely pleased with my new deck from Massey, from start to finish they were on time and completed with a awesome project! Mr. Massey and Jane had taken care of all of the permits and the construction crew was pleasant to deal with. They even built us a gate (no extra charge) on our new deck to keep our toddlers in. We are very proud of our new deck and couldn’t have asked for a better experience :)
I’ve used Massey Deck and Fence aka Massey Construction Inc. on three (3) different occasions. I have to say the first fence came out fine. On the second occasion a split rail fence was to be installed within two weeks of contract signing and it took over a month for it to commence and was told that weather was a factor by Sonny Orson Massey for it not starting on time. The weather had been clear with no rain/snow/etc. that should have prevented the fence from being installed in accordance with (IAW) the contract. I should have had the common sense then not do any more business with this company, but I like giving businesses/people the benefit of the doubt, a fault of mine that I have now overcome. On the third, and final, dealing a contract was written where a fence was to be installed on the aforementioned split rail that would meet “pool code” requirements of Charles County. When the Charles County inspector came by to inspect the electrical on the pool they noticed the “pool code” fence that was installed by Massey Deck and Fence and said that is not “pool code” and would not pass inspection. The county inspector and I made a call to Sonny Orson Massey who said that he’s installed lots of those fences in Charles County and its never failed inspection for “pool code” requirements. Funny, he couldn’t name one address or date when the fence used was approved in Charles County for “pool code” regulations. Regardless, Sonny Orson Massey said he would take this up with the county to resolve and, if not resolved, he would replace the existing fence. To use his words “a thousand dollars worth of fence isn’t going to break me”. I do have to say here that any policy/regulation is up for interpretation, but its the inspector(s) who have the final say on whether or not it can or will be approved. Since I heard nothing from Sonny Orson Massey I assumed, wrongfully so, that it was resolved since the installed fence was still here on my property and not changed out. Well, you can imagine my surprise when the final pool inspection came some months later and FAILED since the fence was STILL not IAW the Charles County “pool code” requirements. When I called Sonny Orson Massey he indicated that he’d taken no action and that he assumed it was resolved since he’d not heard anything from me. Again, Sonny Orson Massey had taken the action to resolve with the county, not me. Sonny Orson Massey said that he’d need thirty (30) days to resolve this issue with the county indicating that he’d “need to do his homework” and present his findings to the county inspector(s). The EXACT SAME THING he said some months earlier. Okay, I let the thirty (30) days go and contacted him on the 31st day. Guess what, N-O-T-H-I-N-G had been done by Sonny Orson Massey and he said “as of this day” he would have his office manager working on it and that he would need to take this matter to the county and let me know when he had a “definitive answer”. What, wait another undetermined amount of months for inactivity by Sonny Orson Massey, I think not. I discussed the contract with Sonny Orson Massey and he said “we should meet” and that “I think we did the right thing” (meaning his company) and I informed him I was done Massey Deck and Fence unless the meeting included him bringing a team to replace the fence that did not meet “pool code” IAW our contract agreement. I had nothing else to discuss and refuse to be placed in the middle of something that is between a company and the Charles County inspection team. I have since removed the fencing myself and taking matters into my own hands.
We used Massey last year to fence in our back yard. Quality craftsmanship and the crew was professional and respectful. Would highly recommend and use them again.
